2nd Grade Economics Unit

The second-grade students participated in a culminating project for their unit of study in economics. The project allowed students to plan and develop a storefront to sell a good or service to fellow students. Part of the plan was to price their goods/services and sell them using the knowledge they attained from their math unit on how to solve problems using money. As students worked on creating unique products that would be in demand for their "customers" they also had to apply skills about materials and their properties that they learned in science. The ownership that each student took of their projects was one of a kind and helped them better understand the world of buying and selling on a higher level.
